BEIJING & SAN JOSE, Calif. (Business Wire EON) January 8, 2008 -- The Beijing Capital International Airport is the ninth busiest airport in the world and served almost 50 million passengers in 2006. In 2008, this airport will accommodate the influx of travelers who come to Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Five hundred thirty-eight digital frames powered by DT Research's WebDT Signage System have been installed in the Beijing Capital International Airport. Over the coming months, AirMedia will install additional digital frames in other major airports powered by DT Research's WebDT Signage System.
"With Beijing hosting the upcoming Olympic Games, the Beijing Capital International Airport will house one of the most desirable audience groups that advertisers desire to reach in 2008," said Mr. Xiaoya Zhang, director and president of AirMedia. "We want to ensure that our airport advertising is delivered through a state-of-the-art system that could effectively and securely manage dynamic content remotely, which is why we chose DT Research's WebDT Signage System."
"Our digital signage system allows AirMedia to quickly and easily change the content that is viewed on each digital frame," said Dr. Daw Tsai, president of DT Research. "This gives advertisers the flexibility to promote different products or services each day and target specific audiences. This dynamic content management system combined with the ability to reach an attractive audience group in a captive environment in the airport provides advertisers with a powerful tool to reach targeted audiences."
The WebDT Signage System offers a unique medium for capturing an audience's attention at key locations. A comprehensive system comprising of industrial-grade signage hardware, content management software and device management software, the WebDT Signage System can deliver dynamic advertising, information, news, and training -- displayed in up to eight zones on each screen. Content scheduling and playback are controlled remotely by secure wireless media players.
