The latest on the World Team.

Several changes
have occured since the May qualifications.

1. Tony Muse decided not to skate the marathon team (about a week ago) and
so that moved Adam Miller up to the 8th spot on the marathon team. Although
Miller will be attending World's, there was not enough notice for Miller to
make it to residency.

2. Jordan Malone was officially accepted as a full team member under the
"Theresa Cliff Injury Rule" on Thursday morning.

3. That now meant that we had a 5-man team instead of the original 4-man
team.

4. Sometime that same evening KC Boutiette decided that he would not be
participating at the World Championships this year and officially stepped
down. Now we were back to the 4-man team.

5. Richard Hawkins and George Kolibaba, with the great support of coaches
Joe Cotter and Gypsy Tidwell, made the decision to keep the 5-man team,
which moved Joshua Wood up into the 5th spot. That now opened up another
spot on the marathon team.

6. Brett Whitman was next in line to represent Team USA in Italy. From
what I understand, he has accepted, although this has not been officially
confirmed.

The girls team has remained intact to this point.

Two team captains were chosen to represent the skaters, Jessica Smith for
the ladies and Joshua Wood for the men.

Residency has been hard work when they have not been rained out. The first
part of residency was spent on the road, due to a scheduling conflict with
the OTC (due to the Olympics). By October 9th the team was in full force
working out on the track. Josh said that the skaters' are in good spirits
and have been to the movies a couple of times as well as bowling and
visiting Downtown Denver.
